It’s mid- September and fashion month is in full flow. Now, we know what fashion print trends for aw/19 should be filling your wardrobe. So, what did we learn? Sure, Rihanna’s approach to including all body shapes and ethnicities in her model posse is admirable. Plus, did you see Victoria Beckham celebrating 10 years in the industry- by sitting in a bag?
In between these moments, we’ve found what prints are a must have, and what’s coming soon to an Instagram feed near you.
Key fashion print trends for aw/19
Adding these prints to your outfit can be difficult- it’s not always easy to go from runway to the office. Also, we’re sharing some designs featuring some prints and fabrics of them, to help you pair up with some of the trickier prints and materials.
Starting with one of the key fashion print trends for aw/19- leopard print. We could speak all day about how much we love this print, and how versatile it is. Before, we’ve even spoken about ways to wear the print, as featured on our 3D designer.
Shine in Silver
One of the hottest prints this year is, silver. The metallic hue can often feel like a big statement- you’ll definitely stand out on the tube when you’re dressed like a disco ball. This is an example of a trend where less is more- certainly in everyday life. However, for weekends, or a special event, why not go all out?
Brands such as Givenchy have perfected the tone. This silver chainmail dress is a New Years Eve staple- look at those tassels!
Over on our 3D designer, feature a range of metallic shades of leather- in almost any colour. Popular shades of metallic soft leather include rose gold, dark bronze, and gold. Creating these dark bronze court shoes are a perfect shade for autumn/winter. Paired with tailored trousers, or a maxi skirt, the festive season is coming up- and these shoes would be perfect.
Hit the Silk
During a couple of seasons, silk is having a big moment. Featuring in Gucci’s collection- silk is one of the key fashion print trends for aw/19. On the runway, it’s all or nothing. Monochromatic silks- think emerald green, or peach for a luxe effect, or bold, clashing prints- just like Gucci.
Adding silk into your shoe closet is simple- we have dozens of shades of silk available. If you have a colour in mind- we can send you colour swatches in a range of shades. The same for other materials, we can help you colour match. Reach out to us to contact us, and receive your colour swatches.
In our Shop the Look, pre-designed collection we have our Flossie Light Blue Ballet Flats. These pale blue court shoes are guranteed to make a casual outfit glam! View them in our shoe gallery here.
Tan suede- hear me out
Suede in winter? Usually a no-go right? You would be right in thinking that suede doesn’t bear well in rain, unless you invest in a good suede cleaner, or go to a specialist cleaning store. So, it’s probably better to grab this trend while the dryer, mild autumn weather is here.
But, remember Rihanna’s haute couture Coachella look?
Using our PrecisionFit service, you could create (a slightly more practical) version of over the knee suede boots. Tan suede is a great transition from warmer summer weather to winter. Find out more about our PrecisionFit service on our website.
So, whether you’re copying trends from the runway, or using your own wardrobe- there are so many ways you can style them, to look individual and stylish. For more inspiration for Autumn/Winter fashion, check out our previous post on styles for shoes.
